Aisti signs €4,4 million offtake agreements with four Norwegian construction companies
[Monday 04.03.2024] Aisti has signed four off-take agreements with four major construction companies in Norway. The offtake agreements capture 4% of the Norwegian market share and 24% of the first year’s production capacity of the company’s Factory in Kitee.
‘We knew that Norway is a promising market but are impressed with the support and interest the local customers have given us. The deals show a clear demand for biobased and carbon-sequestering solutions in the building material supply chain – a demand Aisti Teno fulfills,’ says Mikko Paananen, Founder and CEO at Aisti.
With the new agreements, Aisti has solidified its presence in the Nordics with a remarkable achievement: securing five deals totaling 6.7 million euros, alongside securing seven promising letters of intent with esteemed partners such as NREP, Pozzoni Architecture, YIT, and SRT Sisärakennustekniikka, among others.
‘At this rate of interest in sustainable and recyclable building materials, we see the industry taking a significant step towards phasing out non-renewable building materials and ultimately achieving Net Zero buildings,’ says Mikko.
Aisti is receiving pre-orders from customers wanting to ensure their future quota of Aisti® Teno acoustic tiles.
Aisti® Teno acoustic tiles are the world’s first affordable and recyclable wood fiber tiles that meet both environmental demands and indoor acoustic standards. The tiles also have a positive carbon handprint, reducing up to 10 kg of builders’ carbon emissions. By 2030, Aisti® Teno could reduce buildings’ CO₂ emissions by 3.5 megatons when replacing traditional alternatives.
Production of the tiles will commence in 2025. For more information about Aisti and Aisti® Teno, contact Mikko Paananen, Founder and CEO of Aisti: mikko@aisti.com.
