Bulevardi 2: Office Acoustics has never been sounder.

Bulevardi 2 at a glance

Space

Nestled in Helsinki’s vibrant city center at Bulevardi 2, our client’s commercial office space exudes modernity and style. Despite its modern interiors and Nordic design, the space presented a challenge for acoustic management.

The property owner of this beautiful space contacted us to enhance the space’s acoustics to promote creativity and productivity for future tenants.

How did we do it?

Responding to the client’s concerns regarding the echo, we opted to install Aisti® Teno acoustic tiles on the ceiling.

Discover how Bulevardi 2 transformed its office space acoustics with sustainable Aisti® Teno acoustic tiles.

The specific Teno tiles installed at Bulevardi 2 are 600 x 1200 mm and 40 mm thick.

By installing the tiles on the ceiling, Teno can effectively absorb sound reflections, significantly reducing echo within the office environment.

The choice of ceiling installation not only optimized acoustic performance but also maximized usable floor space, ensuring a seamless integration of functionality and aesthetics.

Despite encountering challenges, this experience provided valuable insights into tile usage and prior customer success consultation improvements for future projects.

Client Testimony

The client provided excellent feedback, noting significant improvements in echo reduction. While we continue to gather feedback from the property owner, one thing is clear: our solution has transformed the office space, creating an environment conducive to creativity and productivity.

Sound performance measurements for a sound space

In the world of acoustics, precision is key.

We use Reverberation time as the primary metric to compare and assess the acoustic quality in the room, with comparisons made before and after tiles installation.

Reverberation time is defined as the time it takes for the sound pressure level to reduce by 60 dB, measured after the generated test signal is abruptly ended. There are also construction regulations defining the needed reverberation time of different rooms, which is why we chose that measurement to evaluate the acoustic properties of the space before and after the installation of acoustic tiles.

While we have achieved significant improvements across (29%) on each of the octave bands, further improvement of the 125 Hz octave band is possible with the addition of a few more tiles.

By addressing echo issues through tile installation and considering complementary measures, Bulevardi successfully improved office acoustics, paving the way for a more productive and safe working environment.
