We are now looking for a skilled and forward-thinking Automation & Instrumentation Manager for a permanent position.
Job Description
As A&I Manager, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of automation systems that drive operational efficiency and reliability. You will lead automation projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure the seamless integration of control systems across production processes. You will report to our Director, Head of Projects , Antti Burakoff.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement automation systems, including SCADA, control schematics, and process diagrams.
- Manage automation projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and IT teams to identify automation opportunities.
- Oversee maintenance and continuous improvement of control systems and instrumentation.
- Provide technical support and training to staff on new systems and tools.
We Expect You to Have
- Several years of experience in automation and instrumentation, preferably in a senior or managerial role.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong project management and governance skills.
- Proficiency in HTML, SQL, Excel, CSS, CRM systems, and Photoshop.
- Familiarity with service virtualization tools such as CA LISA or Parasoft Virtualize.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities.
- Fluency in Finnish and English is required.
- The role will be carried out in a hybrid model, with remote work as the primary mode. However, regular on-site presence in Jyväskylä and Kitee is required. The position also involves occasional travel, both within Finland and internationally.
- The salary ranges depending on the candidate’s experience and proven ability to adapt to a challenging role where many elements are still in development. This also presents a unique opportunity to shape a flexible and forward-looking operating model – one that aims for excellence.
