Supplier code of conduct
Our Supplier Code of Conduct (“Code”) embodies the core principles and expectations we uphold. The Code is the basis for our business relationships with all partners equally, including suppliers, sales, and third-party partners.
This Code summarizes all the sustainable business requirements for our suppliers and conveys our expectations regarding business ethics and compliance, respecting and upholding human rights, sustainability and environmental protection, safety, and compliance.
Our Code guides our suppliers to join us in making a positive impact. Therefore, we expect Aisti’s suppliers to acknowledge, respect, and implement similar principles of this Code in all their business activities. Finally, Aisti's suppliers shall also comply with any additional requirements agreed upon in the contract documents.
Business principles
Conducting business legally and ethically
- Aisti’s suppliers shall comply with all the applicable national and international laws and regulations in all locations where they conduct business.
- Suppliers are expected to uphold standards related to good corporate governance and to act in accordance with the highest business ethics standards.
- Suppliers shall avoid any situations and business relationships that could lead to conflicts of interest.
Fair competition
- Suppliers must support fair competition and refrain from engaging in discussions or agreements with competitors regarding pricing or market shares.
- Suppliers must not become involved in business relationships that may lead to conflicts of interest.
Rejection of corruption and bribery
- We do not engage in improper or corrupt business arrangements with any third party, including customers, distributors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Any form of extortion, bribery, or corruption, including improper offers of payments to or from employees or organizations, is prohibited.
- Aisit’s suppliers shall commit to conducting activities following all applicable anti-corruption laws.
Protecting company assets & privacy
- Suppliers agree to safeguard the security of confidential information and to handle personal and other data appropriately, following applicable laws and regulations and Aisti’s guidelines.
- Suppliers are responsible for protecting intellectual property rights and confidential information belonging to our company.
- Our suppliers shall respect and adhere with all applicable laws and regulations regarding intellectual property.
- Suppliers must handle Aisti’s company assets and personal data in compliance with relevant laws and company principles.
People
Human rights
- Suppliers must respect human rights and promote them within their own operations and supply chains.
- Suppliers shall identify their human rights impacts, implement mitigation actions where required, and provide remedial action in the event of human rights violations.
Health & safety
- Aisti strongly promotes a safe and healthy working environment and the wellbeing of employees and encourages suppliers to participate in developing these areas.
- Aisti’s suppliers shall provide their employees with a safe and healthy workplace in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Equality and non-discrimination
- Aisti’s suppliers must create a workplace based on mutual trust, respect, and diversity.
- Suppliers shall treat their employees with respect and dignity.
- Any discrimination based on partiality or prejudice is prohibited, which includes discrimination based on ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, pregnancy, parental status, religion, etc.
- Threats of violence, corporal punishment, physical or verbal abuse, or other unlawful harassment are strictly prohibited.
Sustainability and environmental impact
Minimizing our collective environmental impact
- Suppliers are encouraged to conduct assessments to identify the environmental impacts of their operations and take appropriate measures to mitigate them.
- Embracing principles of the circular economy, suppliers should focus on optimizing material use and considering the lifecycle impact of their products.
- We expect Aisti’s suppliers and sub-suppliers to work towards reducing energy and water consumption, minimizing waste generation, and mitigating emissions to the air, water, and land.
- Suppliers should identify the environmental impacts of their operations and implement mitigation actions when required.
- Compliance with all relevant environmental laws and regulations is a minimum requirement for Aisti’s suppliers.
Putting the Code into practice
This code of conduct has been adopted by the Board of Directors of Aisti and all Aisti’s suppliers are responsible for adhering to this Code and implementing its principles. Aisti’s suppliers shall also commit to correcting any non-compliance:
- Suppliers shall ensure that their employees and stakeholders can raise concerns or grievances and that there are appropriate practices for handling such cases.
- The rights and privacy of anyone raising a concern in good faith shall be protected, and no retaliation shall be tolerated.
By adhering to this Code, suppliers demonstrate their commitment to ethical business practices, sustainability, and respect for human rights.
