Aisti’s acoustic ceiling tiles are enabled by foam forming technology, a manufacturing process that creates lightweight, high-performance acoustic materials from natural fibres without synthetic binders.
Aisti’s acoustic ceiling tiles are enabled by foam forming technology, a manufacturing process that creates lightweight, high-performance acoustic materials from natural fibres without synthetic binders.
Aisti® acoustic tiles are engineered through foam-forming technology, eliminating the need for plastic and synthetic binders.
Wood fibres are evenly distributed in a water-based foam, creating a lightweight and highly porous structure. As the foam dries, the fibres bond naturally through hydrogen bonds, forming a stable material without added binders.
The result is a resource-efficient production process that uses only wood fibre, water and a foaming agent similar to those found in everyday products. The material remains lightweight, durable and highly effective in sound absorption.
This patented material innovation enables a renewable alternative to conventional mineral-based acoustic systems supporting modern construction with lower material intensity and improved circular potential.
Join our CTO, Petri Jetsu, as he explains how foam-forming technology enables cost-efficient, energy-conscious acoustic materials – sustainable by default.

Because performance and sustainability should be built into the product from the start.
Foam forming enables:
Combined with our patented fire-retardant solution, it forms a complete system.
We are currently building our large-scale production facility in Kitee, Eastern Finland. Designed for industrial scale, the factory will have an annual capacity of approximately 2.5 million square metres of acoustic tiles.
Production is scheduled to begin in Q3 2026, initially serving the Nordic markets through established distributor partnerships across the region.
From Kitee to the Nordics – and beyond.

Aisti® acoustic tiles are made from natural wood fibres shaped into high-performing ceiling solutions. No plastic binders. No mineral wool. No synthetic shortcuts. Just a simple material engineered to deliver reliable acoustics with a lower environmental impact.
If you believe sustainability and performance are inseparable, you’re in the right place. Aisti isn’t just another tile – it’s part of a new chapter in construction.
Aisti develops renewable acoustic materials for modern construction. Combining industrial scalability with material innovation, we make sustainable choices commercially viable. Changing construction for good.
